Thoth 1.9 is a Macintosh usenet newsreader. Four versions are available. One supports Intel Macs running OS X 10.5, 10.6, and 10.7. A second is for PowerPC Macs running OS X 10.5. Separate versions for Intel and PowerPC Macs running OS X 10.4 are also available. All four versions have the same complete set of features.

Thoth 1.9 Status

The current version of Thoth 1.9 is 1.9.0.19. It was initially released on December 6, 2011 to support much faster header fetching with most commercial news servers. The revised versions released on January 3 and January 25, 2012 contained only a few bugfixes.

A private, opt-in “Thoth Announcements” mailing list for registered users only is available to send new version announcements with the appropriate download URLs for each new version to registered Thoth 1.9 users. If you're a registered user of Thoth 1.9, and need to obtain the current version, please email me to request the current download URL and archive passphrase.
